Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening is an excellent way of making your smile look brighter without changing the structure of the tooth. Our products have a proven track record in creating whiter smiles at your pace, in the comfort of your own home.

Before whitening our dentists will check to make sure that whitening is an appropriate choice and advise about any treatment that may be needed before or after the treatment.

Impressions or scans of your teeth are taken and from these, clear plastic trays made to fit over your teeth. The whitening product is supplied as a number of tubes of gel, dots of which are placed inside the trays for each tooth that you want to whiten. Daily wear of the trays is advisable for best effect; however, you can choose whether to wear the trays at night or during the day, whichever is more convenient. The team will show you how to apply the product and take care of the trays.

The whitening effect takes place over two – four weeks on average. This is dependent on how light you want your teeth to be and how discoloured they are at the start of treatment. Sometimes the initial tubes are not enough and we can supply additional tubes if required.

The whitening effect is stable for around 3 years and can be redone, using your original trays if you wish. We sell mini packs of the gel so that patients can do a short course of treatment to top up the effect if required.
